Creating an event
Create a new ticketed event in Tickets Central — fill in event details, add ticket tiers, and get ready to publish.
Overview
An event in Tickets Central is the container for everything related to a ticketed occasion: the date, location, description, ticket tiers, and checkout form. Events start as drafts — they are invisible to attendees until you publish them.
Creating a standalone event
- In the left-hand sidebar, click Events.
- Click New event in the top-right corner.
- Fill in the required fields:
| Field | Required | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Title | Yes | Shown on the public event page and tickets. |
| Starts at | Yes | Date and time the event begins. |
| Ends at | No | Optional. Shown on the event page if provided. |
| Location | No | Venue name or address. Shown on the event page. |
| Currency | Yes | Defaults to PHP. All ticket tiers for this event will use this currency. |
| Description | No | Markdown-formatted text shown on the public event page. |
- Click Create event. The event is created as a draft and you are taken to the event detail page.
Club OS events
If your account is connected to Club OS, you can also enable ticketing on an existing Club OS event. Club OS events that have tickets enabled appear automatically in Tickets Central. Their title, date, and location are managed from Club OS — the Edit button in Tickets Central is disabled for these events and a notice is shown.
Adding a cover photo
After creating the event, click the Cover photo tab on the event detail page.
- Drag and drop an image or click to browse.
- The image is cropped to a 1200 × 630 landscape ratio (the standard for event pages and social sharing). A crop preview is shown before saving.
- To remove the current cover photo, click Remove photo.
A cover photo is optional but strongly recommended — events with cover images receive significantly higher click-through rates on shared links.
Adding ticket tiers
An event with no active ticket tiers cannot be purchased. After creating the event, go to the Tiers tab and add at least one tier before publishing. See Managing ticket tiers for details.
Edge cases / gotchas
- Currency is locked after the first ticket is sold. Choose the correct currency at creation time. If you need to change it, cancel the event and create a new one.
- The event slug is generated from the title. If a slug conflict exists, a random suffix is appended (e.g.
riverside-summer-gala-a1b2). The slug appears in the public event URL and cannot be changed after creation. - Deleting an event is not supported. To remove an event from your list, cancel it. Cancelled events remain in the Cancelled tab.
