Listing a session publicly on TicketsCentral

Overview

Listing a session publicly puts it on TicketsCentral, the public marketplace, so players outside your club can discover your Tuesday-night run and buy a slot. Listing is optional — private sessions never appear on the marketplace.

The one rule to know: a public open play must be a ticketed session. A listing strangers can see but can't reserve is a support headache, so a session needs a drop-in fee before it can go public.

Publishing a session

1. First, set a drop-in fee on the session.
2. Edit the session and tick Make this event public.
3. Save.

The session is now listed on TicketsCentral and a View public page link appears on the session. Anyone who buys a slot is added to your roster automatically.

If you haven't set a fee

If you try to make an open play public without a fee, you're blocked with a clear message explaining that a public session needs a drop-in fee — and pointed back to the fee form on the session page. Add a fee, then try again. (You'll see the same guard if you try to zero out the fee while the session is public.)

Sold out

If the session has a capacity, its drop-in fee inherits that limit. When it sells out, the public listing shows Sold out and stops taking new buyers.

Unpublishing and cancelling

• Make it private again — untick Public and save. The listing comes off the marketplace. Players who already bought a slot keep it; they're not dropped.
• Cancel the session — the public listing moves to cancelled and everyone holding a paid ticket is emailed so no one is left expecting a session that won't happen.

Edge cases / gotchas

• Private by default. A new session is never public and publishes nothing until you opt in.
• The marketplace stays generic. Your open play lists alongside other events without any sport-specific setup.
• Public needs a paid fee, always. The fee and the public listing are linked: you can't remove or zero the fee while the session is public — make it private first.
