Reading the session leaderboard
How the open play leaderboard ranks squads and highlights top performers for a pick-up run.
Overview
The leaderboard summarises how a pick-up run went — which squad came out on top and who the standout players were. It's a read-only view built from the session's games and box scores; it never creates a league record or ranking.
When it appears
The leaderboard section shows up on the session page once there's something to rank — at least one completed squad game or some box scores recorded.
What it shows
- Squad standings — each squad's wins and losses, ordered by wins, then point differential, with current streak.
- Top performers — the standout players from the session's box scores.
Edge cases / gotchas
- Session-only. The leaderboard is scoped to this one session. It's not a running club-wide table and doesn't affect standings anywhere else.
- Needs squad games. Standings are built from games between squads; scrimmages between standing club teams and games without a result don't feed it.
- Top performers need box scores. Record box scores to populate the player highlights.
