Player box scores

Overview

A box score records how each player did in a game — points, rebounds, assists, steals, blocks. In open plays, box scores attach to squad games, attributing each line to the roster participant who played, whether they're a club member or a walk-on guest.

How box scores are recorded

Box scores are captured in the StatsCentral mobile app during the session — not in the Club OS web dashboard. The mobile app is built for courtside entry, and the numbers it saves flow straight back to your club.

The game's score is reconciled from the points recorded, so the box score and the final score stay in step. (Only points drive the score — rebounds, assists, and the rest are recorded but don't change it.)

Viewing box scores in Club OS

Open the session, go to the Games section, and open a game played between two squads to see its box score as a read-only grid. The session Leaderboard also ranks the night's top performers per category from the same numbers.

Where pick-up stats show up

Open-play box scores roll up club-locally. A player's pick-up totals appear on their member profile and in their portal, badged "Casual · pick-up" so they're never confused with league or season stats. They're kept separate from competitive career aggregates.

Edge cases / gotchas

• Box scores are for squad games. A game between two standing club teams has no box score — form squads for the players you want to stat.
• Guests get stats too. A walk-on guest on the roster can have a full box score; their stats stay club-local like any pick-up line.
• Fixed stat categories. Open-play box scores currently use a fixed basketball set (points, rebounds, assists, steals, blocks). Per-sport categories are future work.
• Editing. Adjust a box score in the mobile app; the web grid and the game score update to match.
